Guide for Authors:
Instructions for preparing the Manuscript

Please read the instructions carefully and submit your manuscript between April 1 and May 15, 2006.

2. Manuscripts
|

| |
1) Format
Please, use the template provided . Delete all entries in brackets from the template after completion of the manuscript (these are layout instructions only).
2) Language
Manuscripts must be written in English, except for the Session “LCM in emerging countries”, for which Spanish and Portuguese is also permitted.
3) Pages
The maximum length of each paper is 6 pages.
4) Text
A4 size; 30mm top margin and 35mm bottom margin, 25mm right and left margins
(See template).
5) File size
As all manuscripts will be saved on the conference CD-ROM, the file size should not exceeded 2 MB (PDF file).
6) Font
The PDF file will be placed on the CD-ROM (Windows/Macintosh). The following fonts are to be used (no other fonts will be accepted):
Times New Roman, Arial
7) Colors
There is no restriction of colors.
8) Pictures and Graphics Resolution
The quality of pictures and graphs can be diminished in the PDF conversion. In this case, try to use a higher resolution with (150-360dpi).
9) PDF Conversion
Please convert the file to PDF prior to submission.
10) Name of the file
The name of the file should be ‘AbstractIDNo._Author’s LASTNAME’. Make sure to add the extension ’pdf’ in the end. (e.g. 99_Name.pdf)
11) Header and Footer
Please do not alter the header and footer of the template.
12) Security
Please refrain from setting security to the PDF file.
13) Title page
The first page should contain the title (max. 12 words), the author name(s), the affiliation(s), the abstract (about 100-200 words), and the key words (less than 5 items).
14) Font and Size
Use 10 point font “Times New Roman” on your manuscript. Use 14 point font “Times New
Roman” only for the title. Use 9 point font “ARIAL” for caption of figure and table.
15) Figures, Tables, and Photographs
The captions of figures should be numbered consecutively throughout the text and should be placed below the figure. The captions of all tables should also be numbered consecutively, but they should be placed at the top of the table.
16) Mathematical Equations
Mathematical Equations should be centered between left and right margins and separated by one blank line. All equations should be numbered consecutively, using Arabic numerals in parentheses along the right margin.
17) References
The first time a particular source (article, book, etc.) is cited in the text it should be assigned a number and placed in the list of references at the end of the paper. Each time this source is cited in the text it should be referred to by its original number. Each number should be placed in brackets at the end of the referenced phrase and before any final punctuation mark, e.g., as [2]. A sample of listings is available in the template.

3. Online submission

You should submit on-line your PDF file, after your abstract has been accepted.
The way of paper submission will be informed by e-mail to the Presenting Author.
